Description

The cattle drive is disrupted when a professional hangman joins the trail, escorting a condemned prisoner to face justice. As the journey progresses, tensions rise among the drovers over the morality of the execution and the authority of the lawman carrying it out. Gil Favor must balance order within the crew while confronting questions of justice, mercy, and personal responsibility, with Rowdy Yates increasingly conflicted over the fate of the prisoner.
