Oppressive heat and exhaustion take a toll on the cattle drive as the crew pushes through brutal “dog days” conditions. Tempers flare and judgment falters as both men and cattle struggle under the relentless sun. Gil Favor must maintain order and keep the herd moving, while Rowdy Yates and the drovers face the physical and mental strain that threatens to break the drive apart.
